Hello, I am from Uruguay (South America). Have a problem with a MSI notebook. Power up ok, fan starts, power led turn on, but no video on lcd /hdmi/vga. Changed ram and cpu for good tested ones, no luck. GPU warms up normally, cpu remain cold. Any help to check voltages or startup logic levels ? Thanks in advance. Leandro.- |

Leonardo welcome! Just look at the power BIOS? Perhaps you need to flash the BIOS ... It may well be that he flew. -- Alexey lpraderi писал(а): Hello,

Thanks Alexey, I will try to find a binary image of my bios somewhere. SPI flash of my board: Winbond 25Q32BVSIG, f First time for me that bios chip could flew, this problem was suddenly , I did not flash a new bios . Laptop is in his original state 2 year without a problem. Maybe some virus corrupted bios, will read flash chip on external programmer and let you know. Leandro.- |

Update: also found a serial eeprom MX 25L512 (U5) this need to be read ? |

After some investigation (and reading on forum) found that Macronix MX25L512 contents LPC EC firmware. Found a working MS-16811 V1.1 motherboard donor to make working dumps of BIOS and EC. Will update soon. Posted after 1 hour 35 minutes 53 seconds: U5 EC Firmware SPI Flash (512Kbits/64KB)  Posted after 26 minutes 47 seconds: Dumped & checked both EC images (working/no-working) both have exact same content (md5 check). 1681EP21 Ver4.13 09/26/2011 17:54 Will do the same with BIOS chips.
