Hello everybody. I have a problem with this notebook - can't turn on on battery only. When charger is plug in, notebook starts normally, Windows loading and everything looks fine. Battery status is '100% charged'. But when disconnect power adapter, notebooks turns off. There is a small I/O board for dc jack, battery jack, usb, etc. I/O board connects to motherboard with cable. What I did: - think charger issue. replace charger - no result. - connect power adapter - 20v present. - connect battery - 15v present on pin 6,7 /last 2 pins/, but these 15V not present on connector from the I/O board to motherboard. I can't find schematic for this board, if someone can help, I will buy a beer :) I/O board attached to post. Thanks. |

Measure the resistance of the battery connector to ground with the power supply disconnected |

Sorry for delay, have work outside office. pin 1 - 2 ohms -> ground pin 2 - 2 ohms -> ground pin 3 - 630 kilo ohms pin 4 - 67.5 kilo ohms pin 5 - 73 kilo ohms pin 6 - 147 kilo ohms pin 7 - 850 kilo ohms |

I think I found the problem, but I can't read marking code. Position on IO board - PQ502 3 pin transistor /maybe/. |

Problem solved - PQ502 - there is no 15 volts /battery voltage/ after it. |
